God eftersmak i Åseda...

När nästan alla cykelkompisar drog till Tranås för att köra Sommen runt +12 mil, packade Henrik Johansson och jag hans bil för att dra djupare in i smålandskogarna, mot Åseda och Uppvidingetrampet, detta också ca 12 mil. Danske Christoffer skulle möta upp här, med far sin, för att köra nostalgirunda. Ch växte upp här på 70- och 80-talet. Och Henrik skulle lätta på plånboken för att köpa Ch:s avlaggda Zipp-hjul.

Åseda var stämt till fest, och musikkåren spelade i takt med lotteritombolan. Här var det man ur huse som gällde. Kul. 25:te året som rundan kördes tydligen i arrangemang av Korpen.

Detta "tramp" samlade en inte föraktilig skara cyklister av olika kaliber från olika klubbar i Småland, Nässjö var rikligt representerade, liksom Lammhultscyklisterna. Några tävlingsåkare dök också upp, eftersom något lopp i Lund blivit inställt tydligen. Det vankades mer fartträning alltså. Och vind. Vi gick ut i medvind på stora vägen mot Oskarshamn och körde mkt fort, och det ryktes hårt i de svaga motluten. Det fanns folk som ville decimera klungan till varje pris här, och det lyckades nog. Detta fortsatte när vi svängde in på de mindre vägarna, med högt ryckigt tempo. Nu var det lite mer kuperat, men utan galna backar. De första 4-5 milen gick fort, men vi var nog ändå 30-40 pers i klungan fortfrande.

Nu gick det lugnare och inge ville riktigt gå upp i vinden, några utbrytningar gjordes, som fick hållas, men det var svårt att komma i väg i vinden. Det kissades och åts, och det gick stundtals vädligt makligt framåt. Alla verkade vänta på varandra. Turen gick genom många fina samhällen, förbi hagar, kor och glasyttor och naturen stod grön och grann bara för vår skull.

Med ca tre mil kvar kom vi till en lång lång raksträcka, med en på håll gigantisk stigning i slutet. Såg farligt ut, för nu borde det hända något... Det gick ganska fort uppför här, men återigen inte hysteriskt, inte ens från tävlingscyklisterna. Nässjö-folket försökte stöta på toppen, för att rycka sönder lite, men det lyckades inte. Tror hela gänget var med uppför här i alla fall.

Mina ben var hur pigga som helst, kanske pga av hela skafferiet på ryggen var tomt. När vi kom ut på Växjö-Oskarhamsvägen igen var det plötsligt stark medvind igen och 15 km kvar till mål. Och nu vaknade folk till och det rullade på grymt fort igen med mindre attacker till höger o vänster på stora vägen. För egen del var det inga problem att hänga med, jag låg mitt i klungan ungefär. Det tunga draget fanns där i benen för att öka farten. Och jag läste vågrörelserna ganska bra så det blev inte tokigt ryckigt.

Christoffer o Henrik var mer aktiva längre fram. Det här var ju hemmabana för Christoffer. Tror att han också var först till stadsskylten. Men målet var i mitt i byn vilket innebar en skarp 90° vänstersväng och sedan 3/4 varv i stans enda rondell och sen 150 meter spurt. Hur det kom sig vet jag inte, men en bit innan infarten så hängde jag på en killes hjul lite längre bak i ledet, och han hade nog tänkt sig att vara med där framme och vi tågade upp i toppen och plötsligt var jag helt oplanerat längst fram i detta skenande tåg, benen bar ju och jag visste hur infarten såg. Hur göra?

När vi närmade oss infarten, var det liksom ingen som gjorde några försöka att bromsa in. Och kanske var det säkrare att ligga bland de 5 första här, än mitt i, jag vek in framhjulet i bästa roadracing-stil, kom med runt och missade dikeskantens grus med tre centimeter. Hur det gick bakom vet jag inte, Christoffer gillar inte sådana kurvor vet jag, men jag tror inte någon gick i kull.

På vägen mot rondellen var det väl några som passerade mig ytterligare, men hur fan skulle det gå runt här?
Jo, det gick också, men jag har nog aldrig lagt hojen så långt ner innan. På upploppet dunkade det på folk bakifrån, men jag höll mig nog bland de 10-15 första i alla fall. Att kunna gå igenom kurvorna ganska ostört hade sin fördel.

Henrik gled in som trea med Nässjö folk runt sig på både höger o vänster sida. Han som vann var en tävlingspojk som hade stått för det mesta rycket och draget för dagen, han var mer byggd som en Hockey-spelare och hade ett otroligt drag på flacken. En rättmätig "kransman".

Nu vankades det korv, bulle o saft, som smakade gott. Henrik köpte hjul och vi begav oss hemåt ganska raskt. Jag hade ju en damsugare som väntade på mig där hemma, inför kvällen vandringsfest i kvarteren där vi bor. Att orka sig igenom en festkväll, kändes som den stora utmaningen för dagen.

När vi steg ur bilen hemma kändes benen oförskämt ostela. Förra helgens Habo-runda som gjorde så ont kändes avslägsen. Tack och lov.

Bra kört som vanligt Nicke! Får glädjas åt dina fartfester när jag numera står som "åskådare" bredvid istället för att deltaga. Kanske mina ben vaknar till liv nästa säsong, då med nyinköpt cykel....

Krister L o Nicke B mfl var i Hjo idag o körde Hökensås runt. Det hade gått snabbt enligt Krister trots kraftig motvind ned till Habo. Jönköpingspojkarna verkar nuförtiden aldrig göra bort sig i montionslopp!
